The City of Elgin is committed to provide clean, safe and reliable drinking water to all Elgin residents. To support this mission, the City has developed the Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Program. The program consists of a series of actions that the City is undertaking to reduce or eliminate lead in drinking water at the customer’s tap. The program also aims to educate the public on actions they can take to reduce their exposure to lead in drinking water.
