For the April 4, 2017 Consolidated Election, early voting will take place from March 20 to April 3. Early voting allows voters to cast a full ballot before the observed election day. Although voters can still go to their polling place on Election Day, early voting is intended to make voting easier for everyone. This cuts down on lines at the polling place on election day as well as allowing voters to vote when it fits their schedule.
Early voting is conducted at assigned locations throughout Cook County and Kane County. You may go to any one of these assigned locations to vote early. Early voting is NOT conducted at your usual polling place. Polling places will only be open for voting on the observed Election Day.
The ballot is the same whether voting early or at the polling place on Election Day.
